Continuing the Disney Parks Around the World

In my last blog post, I listed off the seven Disney parks that are all over the world, and I wrote about three of them, so now in this blog post, I want to finish off that list and talk about the last three (I know three and three make six and there are seven parks, but the seventh one is Disney World which is all that this blog has been previously about).

Let's jump right in.

Hong Kong Disneyland

The Hong Kong Disneyland theme park is located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island. Hong Kong Disneyland opened in 2005, and was built with cultural elements in mind, such as Chinese customs and traditions like including adherence to feng shui, which is the philosophical system of harmonizing everyone with the surrounding environment.

The Magic Kingdom in Hong Kong Disneyland
There is one ride in Hong Kong Disneyland that seems really cool to ride and that is Hyperspace Mountain which shown on their website, seems like a Star Wars themed version of Space Mountain in Walt Disney World.

Here's the thing though. One park ticket for just general admission is $619 in Hong Kong dollars, which may seem expensive but when you convert that to Canadian dollars, one park ticket is only $100.12, so when you look at it, it's not as bad as it seems prior to converting it.

I think it would be so cool to go and see Sleeping Beauty's castle (which is their Magic Kingdom's centerpiece), and go on all of the cool rides like Hyperspace Mountain.

Shanghai Disney Resort

Shanghai Disney Resort
Shanghai is the newest of all the Disney theme parks, having only been opened in 2016. The resort features two hotels which are the Toy Story Hotel, where rooms start at ¥850.00, but when converted to Canadian dollars, it's $163.71, which is not the most expensive that it can be. The rooms in the Toy Story Hotel can go up to ¥1350.00, which is $260.00 in Canadian dollars.

There is also another hotel that you can stay at and that's the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. This hotel is definitely more expensive to stay at with rooms going up to ¥4650.00, which is $895.57 and I think that's crazy for just one night but the rooms look so nice and luxurious (which they should be for that price).

Now for the attractions, I can easily say that you won't be bored. There are mazes and rides and character meet-and-greets, and just so many things for you to do. They even have a Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which was originally put in Walt Disney World.

There are also many various shops and places for you to eat when you're tired from going on all of the rides, whether you want just a café, a fancy restaurant, or just a regular diner.

Tokyo Disney Resort

The Tokyo Disney Resort, believe it or not, isn't actually in Tokyo. It is located in Urayasu, Chiba, just East of Tokyo, so why is it called the Tokyo Disney Resort? Who knows. The resort opened in 1983 just as a single theme park, but it then developed into a resort with two theme parks, four Disney hotels, six non-Disney hotels, and a shopping complex.

Tokyo Disney Resort

Formerly known as Tokyo Disneyland, it was actually the first Disney theme park to be opened outside of the United States.

You know how Walt Disney World has Disney Springs? Well the Tokyo Disney Resort has DisneySea, which has an overall nautical theme of exploration to it.

In DisneySea, there are different themed ports such as the Mediterranean Harbour that has an Italian theme to it, where you can ride in a gondola.

I think that it would be so cool to go to the Tokyo Disney Resort and ride gondolas or explore the different parks.

The whole theme of Disney is universal, and I hope that throughout reading this blog, you have learned some new things about the whole Disney experience and are inspired to travel to as many different Disney theme parks as possible (if you do, don't forget to get some Mickey ears).

I hope you guys found this blog enjoyable, and let's not forget one important thing: it was all started by a mouse.

Walt Disney himself hoped that we never forget that, but I like to think that it was all started by a man with a dream to create something great.
